Drawing inspiration from legendary Texas acts like the Toadies alongside alternative icons such as G. Love and the Special Sauce, Sancho Villa's music is a testament to their "nothing is off limits" philosophy. Their debut release, "Serenade and Run," is now available on Lonesome Valley Records LLC, showcasing their unique fusion of genres and decades of musical experience.
Sancho Villa started as a power trio from the DFW/Texas area, blending deep-rooted Texas psychedelic blues with jazz standards and alternative rock. The band is fronted by Henry Welch on lead vocals and guitar, with a seasoned rhythm section featuring Victor Garcia on drums and Scott Bruce on bass. Having previously been regulars in the local scene with Neptune Locals and Hard Farm, Garcia and Bruce now anchor the groove for Sancho Villa, creating a dynamic foundation for the band's eclectic vibe. After deciding in 2026 to pursue a bigger sound, Landon Caviness joined the band, bringing intense, soaring solos and a new approach to the catalog that brings new life to their already expansive sonic soundscape.
